Meditation serves as a valuable tool to aid you in staying present. Mindfulness meditation is recognized for its capacity to reduce blood pressure, alleviate muscle tension, and gently slow the heart rate. It can also stimulate the vagus nerve, guiding you away from the fight-or-flight response of your sympathetic nervous system.
Deb has received training from the Mindfulness Institute for Emerging Adults and conducts classes for individuals aged 16 and older. This passion is deeply personal for her, as she has witnessed the positive impact of mindfulness meditation within her own family, making her a dedicated advocate for its practice.
